At Innovation Vehicle Body Repairs in Maidstone we have the privilege of working on some real classic cars. Take this 1963 Volkwagen Beetle for example – it came to us in poor condition and in desperate need of restoration.
We undertook an extensive program of body work starting from the floor plan upwards. It required a completely new floor with tunnel and custom shaped heater channels in keeping with the original shape. Pattern parts often don’t account for every version of the model.
Both the boot lid and bonnet needed rust repair and careful reshaping to keep this ’63 Beetle true to factory form.
The body itself had rust repairs, new inner arches, door repairs and fenders fabricated. We also added a new firewall and spare tyre carrier under the bonnet amongst many other new steel fabricated parts before the whole vehicle was rust treated and prepped for paint. The floor & beam was painted gloss black for that show quality feel before the body was painted an original VW dove white colour.

The owner couldn’t have been happier with this incredible outcome!
